White for the crisp ironed shirts of men at work
Red for the painted lips and nails of women masquerading
Blue for the clear sky in which hopes dreams and visions float by
Green for the abundance of life springing up all around
Purple for the hues of the rising and setting sun
Tan for khaki shorts of leisure contrasting those at play
Brown for the sandals shoes and boots indicative of changing seasons
Yellow for caution that things happen for a reason
Orange for the sun's warmth enveloping you
Gray for the elderly and our inevitable fate
Black for the mystery of what tomorrow may bring
