Some walk fast.
Some slow.
Some funny.
Some smooth.
Some with purpose.
Some aimlessly.
Some with long strides.
Some with short steps.
Some in the light.
Some in the dark.
Some do it with class.
Some do it with style.
Some with pain.
Some with difficulty.
Some with a limp.
Some with a cane.
Some barefoot.
Some with socks.
Some wearing different shoes.
Some with help from others.
Some by letting others walk on them.
Some by letting others walk for them.
Some by stopping others from walking.
Some focus on the destination.
Some enjoy the journey.
Some do it on the road less traveled.
Some never walk again.
Slow and steady goes a long way.
But sometimes you break out into a run to pass on by.
Other times you slow to a crawl and take everything in.
Eventually you will grow tired and have to rest.
No one can walk forever.
Everyone has their limits when they just can't go on anymore.
Each person's limits are different.
But at the end of the day, we all walk the same way.
It's just with varying levels of focus and effort needed.
Simply put one foot in front of the other.
Collection of poems I've written over the years.
