Life is not about cheddar and cheese
Many more ways than money to please
Greed is why the world is harsh
Why work makes us bust our arse

If money is your sole pursuit
You'll never hear life's gentle flute
Money is nothing but a construct
Its desire making us self-destruct

The best things in life aren't free
But somethings are, go climb a tree
Make a true friend, and you will know
It's time and effort that make the best go


There's much more to life than looks
Beauty, physique, it gets took
Then you're left chalk full of holes
Never cultivating your soul

In the mirror spending hours of each day
Look deep into your eyes to see the way
It's not about appearance and perfection
Accept yourself and forget the attention

Clothes, hair, muscles don't matter
That or happiness, most prefer the latter
Natural beauty radiates from within
It shines in smiles, eyes, that's a win


You only value what someone can do
Can they treat you well and true
The problem: it's not about you
A shame in life you missed that clue

Not all attention that comes is good
You have to discern will from could
Compromise, understanding are rare
Beyond themselves, most do not care

If you want love, you have to give
You can't take and expect to live
Selfish is your sin, your crime
Vanity your vice, you're no dime


Educate yourself and grow
Cultivate your mind and sew
Expand perspective beyond your own
The great beyond, so much unknown

Open up your mind and learn
Understand how your heart yearns
School and books show the path
But it's up to you to make it last

A lifetime is needed, no work complete
Sometimes you lose, don't let it deplete
Create yourself as you want to be
So much great to life, you will see
