Someone New
I hear you have someone new
That's it, we're really through
No more me and you
Nothing more will I do
No more talking until the sun comes up
Goodbye to sharing plate and cup
No more waking up naked together
Our love could have lasted forever
Never again will we make love all night
No more closeness after a big fight
I cannot walk and hold your hand
No takings trips to a far off land
Never more will you understand
You can no longer see my whole plan
I simply cannot trust you again
All these words I cannot send
No more candy, cards, or roses
No sneaking in before it closes
No more long sensual embraces
Never see you in a crowd of faces
No more wanting for your kisses
No longer telling how the heart misses
No day dreaming of seeing you later
No more dancing til the DJ pushes the fader
Never again will I feel us close
No more time with you the most
No more rushing to see you first
You can no longer quench my thirst
No more yearning for your taste
All these feelings turned to waste
Now I must forget your smell
I guess it's all just as well
This is what you want
This is what you chose
Does it even make you feel?
Do you even think of me?
Collection of poems I've written over the years.
