Beauty is buying a rose, as the store's about to close.
It's a forever bouncing ball, right before it hits the wall.
The car's smooth ride, moments before two cars collide.
That surging feeling down, as the plane leaves the ground.
Anticipation trying to cope, watching your favorite team not give up hope.
Your mind a silent sponge, as you jump and take the plunge.
Inside the outside door, about to brave a storm of yesteryore.
Discarding pain and the urge to sit, before you reach the summit.
The crisp smell only a breeze can bring, as the cold air makes your skin sting.
The moment before your lips meet, that first kiss will it be sweet.
What do these moments have in common?
The heart flutters and beats
You can't stay in your seat
The mind races and flies
You hope you haven't died
Consumed with feeling so alive
Like accomplishing a long drive
Better than falling in love
Akin to rising up above
You never forget the feeling
It leaves you breathlessly reeling
As she enters the room
It's like Heaven lowers the boom
All time stops and you look
Her beauty has left you shook
Collection of poems I've written over the years.
