When I See You Again
I still remember your smile
I can still see your eyes
I'll travel however many miles
I hope our time apart flies
I remember that way you look
The feel of your warmth embrace
I'll even let your pawn take my rook
To see that smile upon your face
I yearn to hear you laugh
I anticipate the moment we meet
I calculated days and did the math
Just tell me where you want to eat
The days countdown one by one
My anticipation grows
It's like a race I've all but won
My body simply knows
Until at last the day arrives
That I will see you in front of me
In your presence we'll strengthen ties
Happy together I shall be
Let's create our own fashion
Make my heart no longer miss
So I can feel my passion
And seal it with a kiss
Collection of poems I've written over the years.
