Forget the rest
Diddy said it best
"I have met a lot of women in my lifetime
But see it's not a lot of women that got the right mind"
See I don't need a lot of women in my life
I'd be perfectly content with just one wife
I don't need different chicks to do one thing
I'd rather one great woman and give her a ring
But I don't take the decision lightly
She has to prove herself mighty
That simply doesn't happen overnight
No matter if her game is tight and right
I need it all, I want it all
I have to love, I have to fall
Otherwise it's all pointless
Pretty always fades into her mess
The person she is matters more than looks
Is she intelligent and educated herself with books
Can she talk about fears, hopes, and dreams
Is there much more to her life than it seems
Does she have goals and ambition of her own
Did she mature, cope, and make herself grown
See it's not about words and what she volunteers
It's all about thought and action, not what she appears
A real woman with class
Not a superficial one with ass
But a pretty face always gets a man stupid
A nice body and you think it must be cupid
Love is not caring about the person you see
It's being unable to imagine life without your we
Not everyone even knows what real love is
They're all about themselves and handling their biz
Selfishness, ignorance, pride, lust reign supreme
Never seeing beauty in cultivating your dreams
Worth based on shallow premises and facts
Not understanding yourself and how you lack
The right mind lies within, beauty runs deep
It's not outward, physical, sexual, or from sleep
I say cultivate your mind, along with the rest of yourself
Care after everything not just parts of your health
But it boils down real simple to find the right one
She tells you right away if you've really won
Simply ask her if she feels she has the right mind
If you see no doubt in her answer, she's not a find
You can watch her words and see her behavior
She'll undo herself no one can save her
There goes another one who paid the cost
She doesn't have the right mind, just another one lost
Collection of poems I've written over the years.
